Lightwerkz BMW E46 Coupe 03-06 (Facelift) Lens Replacement Service & Projector Retrofit

Is your headlight lens breaking down? Do you see micro fractures and crazing within the lenses? This type of break down is even more visible with the headlights on. Many restoration options such as wetsanding + polishing or clear coat provide a temporary solution. Results are never quite as good because not all types of imperfections can be removed.  Replacement lens service is the only way to provide you with a long term solution that makes the lights look brand new again. As a bonus, this equates to a boost in headlight performance as well due to the increased clarity. 

This service requires you to send in your lights. We do not offer a core service. You will be sending in your own lights. We will return back your original headlights. We will carefully remove the original lenses, remove all the original sealant, add new butyl sealant, and install a new set of lenses. New lenses are included as this service.  This lens replacement service is for a both assemblies; left and right side. If you only need a single side done, please reach out to us directly. 

On this specific model, the wiring also is prone to failure which can cause all sorts of electrical issues. We can fully service the wiring. Cost is up to $175 per light. Pricing determined once we have the lights apart. Expect $350 for the set if both lights require wiring over haul. 

Projector Upgrade Option: You'll get the best performance upgrade with our projector retrofit conversion. Our conversions feature the G5-BRT Projectors. This is our go-to unit and it's what we use on most of our custom builds.  You will be able to retain stock ballasts and wiring, which keeps the engine bay looking 100% original.  Even with excellent condition stock E46 Bixenon projectors, expect to gain double the light output after we convert your lights!

OEM Quality:  Our focus is on high performance, reliability, and longevity; without any compromises! What to take things to the next level? Pair it up with high performance Osram bulbs. We always recommend new HID bulbs unless you recently installed a brand new set of high quality bulbs such as Osram or Philips. 

Period Correct: Let's face it, any aftermarket headlight assembly you find are going to look out of place. Want to add a modern flare? Add the Orion V4 Halos for that "angel eye" look that modern BMW's feature. 

Plug & Play: Our conversions are plug and play! If you add on the halos, please note a supplied harness needs to be installed which takes about an hour. 

We highly recommend you have PPF installed on the lenses at your local installer to protect the lenses for years to come. Service comes with a 1 year warranty against condensation. 

Turn around time is generally 3-7 business days. Current lead time is listed under the "add to cart button" and we may be able to accommodate specific deadline requests. Please call in to discuss prior to sending your lights in should you have a deadline you would like to meet. We will provide you with instructions after the order is placed through email.

What's Included:

The conversion includes new headlight lenses. Optional add-on's include a projector retrofit using G5-BRT projectors, brackets, and labor. New HID bulbs and halos are optional. We recommend new HID bulbs unless yours have been replaced within the past 2-3 years.

Please note you are responsible for shipping costs. If you choose the "Free Shipping" option at checkout you will be billed once the lights are completed actual shipping charges.  

What is your shipping cutoff time? 

Cutoff time is 1pm EST. Assuming we have all your parts in stock, the order should ship the same day. If you need a product by a specific date, please call us to find out if its possible to meet your deadline before ordering. Please be aware that there may be discrepancies with shipping calculators or “in stock” status of a product. 

Will I receive a tracking number? 

Of course! As soon as your order is shipped you will receive a tracking notification through email. You can also always log into your account and check the tracking information on the order. 

Is shipping free? 

Orders over $99 qualify for free shipping within the contiguous  United States. *Services are excluded from free shipping. We will chose the most economic method. If you need a product as quickly as possible, always best to chose an expedited shipping option. 

Return Window

We allow up to 90 days from the original purchase date to return your item for an exchange or store credit. If you wish to return the product for a refund, we allow up to 45 days from the original purchase date. 

Shipping 

Customers are responsible for return shipping costs, unless of course we made an error when we shipped out the order. Please contact us if an error was made, we can send over a return label to the email address on file to begin the exchange process. 

Refunds/Store Credit

Please be advised that any free shipping promotions used on the original order will be forfeited if the order is returned and the original shipping costs (paid or unpaid) will also be deducted from the refundable amount.  Refunds can only be processed to the original payment method. Store credit will be sent through an email gift card, which you can apply to your next order with us. 

Our standard restocking fee structure is outlined below. Please refer to our exchange and refund policies for important timelines. 

Tier 1: Perfect condition. (Unopened & like-new) = 90% refund or 100% store credit.
Tier 2: Re-conditionable. (Packaging opened or damaged) = 80% refund or 90% store credit.        
Tier 3: Inability to restock. (Product & packaging both damaged) = 70% refund or 80% store credit. 

Exclusions

If the part has been installed, and shows signs of use, we are unable to take the product back for an exchange or refund. Original Osram and Philips bulbs cannot be returned if the authenticity seal has been broken. Any special ordered item, such as a custom headlight conversion, is not eligible to be returned. 

HID and LED bulbs are street legal in the USA for Fog Light use only. Not compliant with DOT / FMVSS108 and not street legal in the USA for Headlights. Legal for off-road use in Snowmobile and ATV headlights and off-road racing use only auxiliary or forward lighting. International street legality varies by country. 

Note: This usage regulation is not unique to products found on our website. All LED and HID bulbs from all other brands, regardless of marketing claims, are prohibited from street use in halogen headlights in the USA. To find street legal LED headlight assemblies, click HERE.
